Samsung Widget Developer Camp 2009

Thanks to Matt from Samsung, Travis from UI Evolution, Greg from MobileCrunch, we had a fun time on Sunday being judges at the Samsung Widget Developer Camp. Also thanks to Tracey and Eric from MWW, for pulling this event together. It’s great to see that people are still wanting to innovate and have fun with mobile technology.

Developers had about 24 hours to take their ideas from concept to widget, test them on the Samsung Omnia II and them working. The people who showed up, stayed up all night, slept on the floor and a few couches, but nevertheless quite a few survived. All in all, the widgets that we reviewed were across 5 categories.
