Smartphones For Prepaid Mobile Users

This is a sign of things to come.
Can a feature phone be a low-end smartphone? The main feature is the keyboard. What’s missing is a twitter and IM client. And at a sub-$100 USD price, it’s quite affordable.
Other mobile operators who focus on the prepaid market have also introduced keyboard feature phones to get people hooked on messaging, their entrée into mobile data.
Having tried to go back to texting with a keyboard and T9, I’m finding it very difficult to text again. The keyboard has a lot of efficiencies, particular for Roman character-based languages. Also, it’s helps to fix spelling errors and makes people more efficient.
