Verizon is getting on board with targeting developers by hosting a Developer Day event in San Jose. Not much details on the site yet (at time of writing), but they do seem quite organized from the event planning, since they have phone numbers for taxis, parking information and hotel reservation info too.
A few months ago, I heard several people from the Verizon Wireless team talk about how they are looking at mobile differently and trying to be more open with developers, existing and new partners in order to build the most compelling network with the best services possible. While it’s a slow moving process, a lot of the signs look to be headed in the right direction.
