I read this, called AT&T, and insisted on speaking with customer service. When I reached a technician, he said he would be glad to help me unlock my Samsung Rugby. And he did. I have been trying for couple months to do this, not for any reason except that the phone is mine, it's paid for and I really resented AT&T having their foot on my neck, so to speak. I am locked into the contract for two years, which is fine, I expected to pay for phone service. But the local people kept insisting I couldn't get it unlocked.
