What is the unlock code and how do I get it?

  2. mobileslate August 1, 2009

imdoomed: There is no universal unlock code, each phone has a unique subsidy unlock code. You can either contact AT&T or use an online subsidy unlock service.

Name: Do a Google Search: “subsidy unlock code”

Unfortunately, I don't think any of the “free” sites will be very reliable.

  5. Does this code really work?

  6. longlook November 2, 2009

Will att give out this code for free?
Also is there a way to get rid of all the content that ATT has on my phone? I do not want to be able to connect to the internet in any way shape or form.

I have the unlock from the carrier and inputted info per your instructions, but it doesn't work. the carrier told me to take out the sim card, is this correct? no message comes up .

the carrier told me to remove the sim card, turn back on, enter #0111* then enter the unlock code, this doesn't work either.

disturbed1236: Did you press the last “#” after the unlock code?

  9. mobileslate November 15, 2009

longlook: AT&T should be able to give you the Subside Unlock Code for free, but you might need to meet certain criteria. Not sure if you can delete the programs or icons in your phone.

  22. mobileslate June 27, 2010

Martineduardo: Did you ask for the Subsidy Unlock Code? This is different that the PUK Code.

  23. Martineduardo June 27, 2010

This is what they gave me: Imei: 35701103xxxxx Code: xxxxxxxx, now the phone is frozen and don't know what to do.

  24. mobileslate June 27, 2010

Martineduardo: The code that you asked for, was it the Subsidy Unlock Code or the SIM PUK Code? There is a difference between the two. Make sure you get the correct type of code.
