On the AT&T Network, to unlock the Samsung Sync A707:
- Power on without SIM
- Type in #7465625*638*Unlock code# (8 digit unlock code*)
- Device should say: Network Lock Deactivated
- Phone may automatically reboot
*The 8 digit code can be obtained by calling AT&T Technical Support and given the representative the IMEI number. In exchange they will give you the Subsidy Unlock Code.

I have entered this code and the unlock code I received from a phone unlocking companie, but there is still no reaction. This unlocking proces have cost me till now about 50 dollar and still no result. I think I will trow it out of the window.
Roger: Unfortunately, I cannot endorse any online unlocking services as I have received spotty results. The best is to ask for the unlock code, directly from the mobile operator.
I received two unlock codes from AT&T for my Samsung SGH-A707 after giving my IEMI number. Neither of them worked. My phone now says that it will only allow one more attempt at unlocking.
So much for customer service. They told me they “could not guarantee that their unlock codes would work,” and told me I needed to contact Samsung directly…..
DHPDX: You should get only one unlock code. Make sure you ask for the “Subsidy Unlock Code” and give them the IMEI number as well as the make and model number for the phone. The will reduce the confusion and potential error in matching the unique code to your phone. There is no universal Subsidy Unlock Code.
whats the 8 digit unlock code?
bre!: The 8 digit code is a unique number, specific to your phone — there is no universal code to unlock all devices. You will have to obtain the IMEI number of your phone and either use an online Subsidy Unlock Service or contact in this case AT&T.
I just tried these instructions and they do work successfully. . I had to call AT&T and get the Subsidy unlock service code, and give them the IMEI code for the phone which you can get by typing in: *#06# when your phone is on.
The AT&T service person also gave me another combination to try which did not work on my phone but may on some other similar models;
#0111*(unlock code)#
Hope this helps others -as this helped me. Thanks!
Tim: Glad that the instructions worked.
Got one unlock code from ATT…it did not work. Called again, and the second number worked using the process listed.
Joe K: Glad that it worked.
This worked like a champ. Just call AT&T to get your code and follow the instructions. Thanks!

godefroy09: Sorry, I cannot provide you the Subsidy Unlock Code – there is no universal code that I can provide. Please go online and search for a website that can provide you with this.
